Weddings & Civil Partnerships

Cate is a very popular choice for Wedding Bookings and she has performed at Weddings of all shapes and sizes, (from a few guests in a Village Hall to hundreds at Blenheim Palace) so she is well placed to advise on the appropriate choice of music at the various stages of the big day.

During the drinks reception some gentle swinging Vocals with Piano and Upright Bass may be ideal, the aim to provide a relaxed atmosphere where guests can chat. This combination is laid back and doesn't need much space.

If music is requested during the meal, Piano and/or /Vocal ballads may be more appropriate.

If the whole Band is required for the Evening Party then Drums, Clarinet/Saxophone and Guitar can arrive later. Let the dancing commence!

There is a large repertoire to choose from or with prior arrangement it is possible for us to learn something different, especially for you (Cate's musicians are some of finest available). If your special song isn't in the Jazz repetoire, then requests can be made, past choices include 'Lovin' You' (Minnie Ripperton), 'Have I Told You Lately That I Love You' (Van Morrison) and 'Let's Stay Together' (Al Green).

If you are worried that jazz may not be for everyone, Cate has lost count of the number of times that people have said "I didn't think I liked jazz, but I loved your music & I didn't realise how many songs I knew and could sing along with!"

Cate sings regularly for diners all over the Cotswolds & surrounding areas. Typically singing with her pianist she can be seen at places like The Daffodil in Cheltenham; The Rising Sun, Cleeve Hill and Jesmonds of Highworth.

Swing Dance - Lindy Hop & Balboa

Cate has developed a passion for Lindy Hop dancing over the last couple of years - the authentic swing dance of the 1930s. She has been booked twice by UK Lindy Hop champions Gary & Sara Boon at Gloster Jive & Swing Dance and also organises her own successful dances. Cate and the Band are also available to other swing dance organisers elsewhere.
